System One is recruiting for an IT Field Support Technician for our client in Deepwater, NJ. This is a 12 month contract position with likely extension.

The IT Field Support Technician may be required to work at surrounding company facilities in the Wilmington area. Candidate should not have problem with travel and must have access to own vehicle.

IT Field Support Technician Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience with MS-DOS, Windows 95&98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10

  • 4+ years application experience with the following:

  • Microsoft Office 2010,2013 & 2016 support experience

  • McAfee products

  • Solid understanding of Active Directory environment

  • First and second level support experience

  • 4+ years’ experience imaging/staging/deploying personal computers

  • 4+ years’ experience repairing hardware on personal computers

  • 4+ years’ experience troubleshooting network/standalone printers

  • Strong Customer Service and analytical skills

  • Experience working in a TCP/IP based network environment

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange mail system

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory


  • Manufacturing or lab support experience is a plus

  • Experience with Legacy hardware and software (i.e. MS-DOS, Windows 98, etc.)

  • Project Management experience

IT Field Support Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide internal support for laboratory, office and production environment deploying PC hardware, installing software applications and PC imaging

  • Troubleshoot, configure, maintain and repair hardware and software on workstations

  • Install and configure workstations, operating systems, applications and client/server software to ensure compatibility with existing software and hardware component

  • Work with vendors to ensure the proper set-up of existing products and escalation of issues as needed

  • Document and communicate technical support requests and production change

  • Asset and inventory management

  • Support OS patch processes for Office, Engineering and Lab Areas

  • Strong hardware/software troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills

  • Computer imaging and deployment experience

  • Install, upgrade and support local printers and peripherals

  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues

  • Provide technical support for configuring and deploying tablets

  • The ability to utilize analytical skills to resolve complex computer design issues for various hardware and operating systems

  • Ability to support multiple sites in the tristate area (NJ, DE, MD)
