Terumo Medical Corporation Lead Facilities Technician in Elkton, Maryland
This position is responsible for the more complex repair of equipment and plant facilities to ensure functional accuracy and completeness. Assign, delegate and participate in work assignments of lower level technicians. Under a minimum of supervision is expected to lead technical personnel in the repair and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment in order to complete assignments efficiently, work independently on the more complex repair, maintenance and upkeep of company facilities and equipment.
Associate is responsible to follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations.
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and perform the more complex preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, controls, and systems; and facility equipment including water system, fire and security system, air compressors, etc.
Compliance with EPA and OSHA for hazardous waste control and disposal.
Compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations for maintaining water and sewer system.
May assign, delegate and oversee all preventative maintenance and assigned work for completion to standards.
Perform general repairs and work order requests.
Assist Facilities personnel in other occupations as needed.
Prepare and maintain logs, monthly reports, inventory reports, etc., as needed.
Participates in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit in order to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement.
Performs other job related duties assigned.
When a position is specific to AGV/ASRS duties, the following responsibilities would be included:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated guided vehicle and automated storage and retrieval system equipment and components. Repair electronic circuits & components.
Qualifications Position Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude with problem solving skills and theory of repair.
Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, electronic symbols, hydraulic operations, etc.
Thorough knowledge of welding, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, water system, etc.
Computer and record-keeping knowledge.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and Local regulations, etc.
Communication skills both verbal and written.
Good organizational ability.
20/20 or corrective vision.
Ability to use varied hand and power tools including fork lift operation lifts, etc.
Ability to operate electrical meters and electronic test equipment.
Typically requires a high school diploma.
A.A. degree (trade school) in a related field of discipline or at least certificate in related field of discipline (HVACR, electrical, and/or electronics) is preferred
