Randstad Professionals is working on behalf of a growing & entrepreneurial company located near the Middletown, DE area that is looking to hire a HR Generalist who would have blended responsibilities of recruiting, benefits administration, payroll oversight, & various additional Ad-hoc projects within the Human Resources Group. This is a full time permanent role with opportunity to grow and be mentored by the HR Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing & posting all job descriptions for the organization with an emphasis on attracting quality applicants

  • Proactively recruit by identifying resumes, recommending and implementing new processes to find strong applicants

  • Review resumes & conduct phone screens to determine applicants potential fit for open positions

  • Discuss phone screen feedback of applicants with the hiring managers

  • Manage the recruiting process to provide a seamless experience while ensuring hiring manager is properly supported

  • Follow company processes for hiring new employees by conducting background checks and drug testing, obtaining proper hiring approvals, and preparing and sending offer letters

  • On-board all new employees

  • Ensure paperwork is properly completed and filed, questions are answered, and the hiring manager is fully prepared for the employee's first day

  • Assist in the administration of benefits working with benefits provider to obtain quotes, manage open enrollment, making changes to employees' benefit elections, & serving as primary contact for internal and external benefits questions

  • Partner with accounting for any payroll changes, answer employee payroll questions, & proactively resolve payroll errors

  • Provide overall support to employees by answering questions, providing information, & escalating issues as required

  • Maintain confidentiality to ensure employee privacy and sensitive information is handled and managed properly

  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in HR generalist functions such as benefits administration, employee on-boarding, & payroll oversight

  • Prior recruiting experience with an Applicant Tracking System highly desirable

  • Ability to travel (10% or less)
