Job Description:

Frontline position in Legal Order Processing for the Operations Support, Intake & BK Correspondence team. Responsible for distributing/indexing incoming faxes in the workflow tool, handling electronic mail, and other support functions for the department under stringent SLAs in a high paced high volume environment. Documents include various legal documents, including subpoenas, garnishments and court orders. Also supports the servicing of mortgage loans in Bankruptcy. Mitigates loss and legal risk to the company and to investors by accurately managing the mail correspondence process. Handles routine levels of transactions with oversight by senior staff and managers to complete daily tasks. Responsible for the day-to-day analysis, research and resolution of varied problems/reports/processes, general Bankruptcy loan servicing for BK loans, and loan level maintenance. Functions include administering defined procedures, responding to internal business associates and/ or other 3rd party inquiries, researching and/or preparing documentation to support mail correspondence processes.

Required skills:

  • Attention to detail, strong organization and time management is a must.

  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Excel

  • Must display organizational and problem solving skills

  • Effective comprehension and ability to adhere to instructions and guidelines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Ability to multi-task in order to manage various tasks/responsibilities

  • Ability to work in self-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven, portfolio based work environment

Desired skills:

  • 2+ years strong mortgage servicing or bankruptcy experience
