AboutLive Channels Live Channels develops and deploys customized marketing plans and campaigns designed to attract new customers specifically for those Marketing Channels that occur directly with a live representative engaging the prospective customers. These channels include Co-branded Airline In-flight programs, Co-branded Retail partnership locations – in-stores or in-branch for example. Also included are Contact Centers such as Customer Sales & Support locations for our Partners which could be retail partnerships or reservation locations for our travel partners.
Overall Purpose of role The Airline Channel Field Manager leads the Field Management of a co-branded Partner or Partners assigned within the Airline Segment’s In-Flight marketing team. This Manager will confidently interact with flight attendants and other key airline management contacts, actively educating flight attendants on the benefits our credit card products have to themselves, customers, airline organizations and Barclays. The primary business objective is to maximize flight attendant engagement and continuous performance improvements toward achieving account goals. Successful Field Managers are professional, dynamic and thrive in a fast paced environment; eager to interact day to day with flight attendants at assigned airline hub locations and continuously improve results and ensure compliance to create the optimal outcome. The Airline Channel Field Manager will actively partner within their cohort specifically linking their success with that of the Airline Channel Manager dedicated to the Co-brand Partner/Partners they support.
Your Role o Frequent on the ground presence at Partner hub locations of Denver, Orlando, Las Vegas and others (80%25%20) with overall goal to increase flight attendant engagement in the program and meet account goals o Develop strong relationship with airline partner contacts to assure all aspects of program operate collaboratively including creative approvals, Inflight Team communication and Compliance. o Subject Matter Expert on all things related to assigned partner(s) credit card offer o Role model and mentor to flight attendants, demonstrating effective and compliant sales practices and techniques. Must adhere to all airport codes, Barclaycard sales and compliance standards as well as each partners’ model for sales effectiveness o Consistently filter program feedback to In Flight Field Sales lead on program opportunities and barriers via set meetings and ad hoc communications o Drive awareness and participation in flight attendant communication portal sites. Encourage enrolment and push suggestions for improved content and other strategic enhancements o Drive awareness and excitement around promotions, incentives and sweepstakes. Execute events that draw flight attendants to the crew rooms. Allow means for flight attendants to train and enroll in FA communication portal at all times o Secret Shop on flights and report back results
Basic Qualifications/Skills o 5 years general advertising/marketing and financial service experience required o 3 year college degree required, preferably in Marketing, Sales or Business
Preferred Qualifications/Skills o Polished sales skills to act as an influencer with partners and external clients as well as internal colleagues o Broad understanding of credit card and airline industries and their challenges o Ability to multi-task and work well with vendors, partners, other bank colleagues (Legal, Mktg Ops) o Strong Oral and Written communication skills – able to provide clear direction and feedback to achieve business objectives
