BCUS Finance: Business Planning and Analysis The Finance Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A) is a team within Finance that is in charge of supporting the Reporting, Forecasting and Analysis Processes of Barclaycard US (BCUS) to drive strategy and business decisions based on sound financial analyses. In order to achieve these goals, the BP&A team works closely with the CEO and CFO as well with Senior Leaders across Barclays UK, Delaware and New York from several areas including Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Credit, Legal, Corporate and MIS Finance, and Accounting among others.
Overall Purpose of role The BP&A Corporate Planning and Analysis Lead will provide key analytical support to the BCUS Corporate Forecast and Analysis process including communication and review of results with BCUS, IHC, BC&I and UK Sr. Management.
Your Role (Key Accountabilities) · Develop account and balance forecast by incorporating key inputs from the business, analysing historical and emerging trends in addition to considering business insights · Communicate Actuals vs. Forecast results and updates of Outlooks and Forecast to Sr. Management and Business Heads. · Coordination and management of the end to end Corporate IFRS and GAAP forecasts process for BCUS. Facilitate appropriate communication and discussion with the Leadership Team · Support BCUS Forecast and Outlook submissions and explanations of P&L movements to Barclaycard Finance, IHC and BarcIays International · Effectively coordinate with cross functional teams to understand assumptions and strategies included in the forecasts and analyses · Support the Quarterly reporting to the Corporate Investor Relations team
Basic Qualifications/Skills · Minimum 5 years of experience with analytics in Bank Cards or related financial service industry · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred Qualifications/Skills · Experience in building and analysing financial forecasts · Understanding of a Credit Card P&L is a big plus for success in this role · Ability to handle variety of responsibilities, meet deadlines, and drive change in a matrix organization · Result oriented with the ability to bring closure to issues through working well with individuals and teams throughout the organization
