The Bancorp Bank FIU Quality Assurance Analyst in Wilmington, Delaware

Perform QA reviews of AML and OFAC processes at varied frequencies ranging from monthly to quarterly. The analyst will also perform quality control tasks to ensure suspicious transactions are appropriately identified and documented and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) are correctly filed in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency guidelines.

  • Review alerts or work performed by other FIU analysts related to fraud monitoring, transaction monitoring, investigative reviews, subpoena process and sanctions wire reviews. Escalate alerts, cases, and SARs that do not meet corporate BSA standards and follow through to resolution.

  • Assist the QA team Lead with administration of quality assurance requirements and procedures to ensure that standards are maintained and specifically that processes and work adhere to risk-based standards for compliance testing.

  • Continuously assess inherent risks and mitigating controls in the execution of established procedures set for the AML/Sanctions Risk Management program.

  • Recommend process modifications through actionable reporting of observations and findings.

  • Document results and maintenance of QA reports, findings, observations and correspondence.

  • Coordinate with the department leadership on quality assurance findings and recommendations to improve accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of documents and processes.

  • Develop new reviews as needed to support business processes.

  • Provide ad hoc technical and administrative support for the department.

  • Develop close working relationships with others in the department to address and resolve issues and concerns in a timely manner.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • An undergraduate degree

  • A minimum of 3 years related investigative experience with specific emphasis on AML, BSA, and/or fraud prevention.

  • Experience completing SARs

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC regulations

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on a range of AML/Sanctions risk related activities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent investigative, analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Familiarity using AML Compliance monitoring systems.

  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
