Chemours Senior Financial Analyst in Wilmington, Delaware
The Chemours Headquarters facility located in Wilmington, DE has a Senior Financial Analyst position available. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Corporate Finance function. This position will report to the Corporate FP&A Director.
Responsible for conducting moderate to complex financial analysis such as budget variance, capital budgeting, and cash management. May help develop pricing strategies. May provide technical guidance to less experienced financial analysts. Supports business strategies and identify opportunities for improvement. Provides financial support and thorough understanding of business, operation or function's performance. Develops alternative recommendations and evaluates expected results.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supporting Company senior management and the Corp FP&A leader to assist in the preparation of monthly outlook forecasts and variance analysis for the Company’s corporate leveraged functions;
Supporting Company senior management and the Corp FP&A leader in preparing the Corporate Other segment’s monthly outlook forecasts, variance and balance sheet/income statement fluctuation analyses;
Supporting the Corporate FP&A leader on the annual budgeting process over the Corporate functions and other Corporate segments
Tracking business results/forecasts against annual performance incentive metrics and working closely with controllership to record journal entries supporting the accrual;
Overseeing the performance of the Corporate Other segment working closely with controllership on any accounting matters requiring further attention;
Maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with company standards and SOX requirements;
Regularly participating in and/or leading other special projects as needed in support of the Corporate FP&A function.
In order to be qualified for this role, you //must possess// the following:
A minimum of BS Accounting/Finance
Minimum 6 years of accounting/business finance experience.
A solid understanding of US GAAP accounting standards and basic financial statements (i.e. balance sheets, income statement, statement of cash flows);
A clear demonstration of the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment;
Flexibility to, during peak monthly reporting periods, work outside of traditional work hours;
An analytical mindset (able to navigate large volumes of data, but also being able to view the bigger picture);
An ability to work independently and maintain accountability;
Work well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization;
Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills, ability and comfort to working with senior management;
Familiarity with SAP (including SAP Business Warehouse, PCA), Oracle HFM and Microsoft Office (with an emphasis on Excel).
The following skill sets are //preferred// by the business unit:
- MBA or CPA
